Hello my fellow Saluter!

My name is Marsha Hoffmann, MA, RD, CDN, CPT, RYT and I am a Certified Yoga Teacher, Registered Dietitian, tea lover, Master Pep-talk giver, traveler, foodie, and so much more!

Welcome to my corner of the internet. Salut Life and Wellness is a space to explore the many ways to improve your quality of life. As a Registered Dietitian I love learning about different food cultures and encouraging people to try new things.

my approach

I believe in meeting clients where they are in their wellness journey. My role as a RD/RYT is to help you to make healthy choices on your own. I am not “the food police.”

If you are looking for a get skinny quick, magic pill solution this isn’t the place for you. The majority of the time these schemes don’t have long lasting results and in my years of working I notice that people end up feeling worst then before.

At Salut Life and Wellness we want you to feel empowered about your decisions. We want you to have confidence in yourself to know that even if you veer off track a healthy lifestyle is always one descion away.

What’s with all those letters behind your name?

MA : Masters of Arts | I received my Masters in Health Education and Promotion from CUNY-Lehman College.

RD: Registered Dietitian | From 2013-2014 I completed a dietetic internship at Lehman College. After the internship took the licensing exam. I’m now licensed to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy. I provided nutrition counseling to help manage medical conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. I also provide counseling for weight management.

CDN: Certified Dietitian Nutritionist | This is the New York state certification for nutritionists. Pretty much means NYC state says yes you can provide nutrition counsel to people in NY.

RYT: Registered Yoga Teacher | I received my yoga teacher certification in 2022 from My Vinyasa Practice. For some reason I think I might be the most proud of this certification. It took me two years and a massive battle against imposter syndrome. Glad that I won! I’m also currently in the process of getting the Prenatal Yoga Teacher certification.

CPT: Certified Personal Trainer | In 2020, when the world took a nap I decided to get this certification from NASM. I wanted to learn to feel more confident in the physical activity recommendations I gave my nutrition patients.
